What are Program Aides?
Sharing your Girl Scout knowledge and helping younger girls can be fun. Being a Program Aide is a chance to use and develop your leadership skills. All Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors can become Program Aides! Program Aide Training will help you become a confident, effective leader and will teach you skills for working with younger Girl Scouts. In the class, you will practice teaching activities to each other and learn how to serve as a mentor, role model, and leader to younger girls. You will use Program Aide skills if you are helping at a day camp, a service unit event, a council event, or with a troop. Program Aide Training is open to girls who have completed 6th grade and above. Girls who are currently in 6th grade and have completed their LiA award may attend beginning in April.
