Sacramento Rivercats Baseball

Daisies Save the Earth on the Road

Girl Scout Daisies make the world a better place by using resources wisely and by being considerate and caring. We will lead you in various fun and exciting recycling activities that will help you learn to be a true Girl Scout! Groups are limited to the ratios found on p.56 of Volunteer Essentials (updated Safety-Wise) of 1 adult for each individual girl, 2 adults for groups of 2-6 girls, 3 adults for groups of 7-10 girls and 4 adults for groups of 11-14 girls, 5 adults for 15-18 girls. Fee includes program materials and participation patch.

Trailblazers

This is an overnight camping program for Girl Scout troops. Each troop will get to enjoy a trail ride, horseback riding and roping demonstrations, as well as other traditional camp activities. Please limit adults to the ratios found on p.56 of Volunteer Essentials (updated Safety-Wise) of two adults to every 16 girls. Girls can register with a troop, or as an individual for this event. Individuals need to have an adult attend with them. Fee includes horseback riding instruction, program materials, a participation patch and food.

A Day at Boomers

Celebrate the end of the school year with a Girl Scout fun day. Come play the day away at Boomers in Modesto. Enjoy unlimited use of the bumper boats, go carts, miniature golf and rookie raceway. Special discounts for arcade tokens. Younger participants can enjoy the Boomer Kiddies Playland. Take a break from the fun and cool down with an ice cream. Join us as a troop, a family or a gathering of your friends. Fee includes listed activities, special discounts and ice cream.

National Trails Day

Girl Scouts of all ages are encouraged to celebrate National Trails Day by doing something good for a local trail. Service opportunities will be available in various locations throughout the council. Check the website for flyers in the Spring. You can participate in your local area and then contact us for the patch. Fee covers participation patch and mailing.

This event is a must for every fun-loving Girl Scout Daisy and her special adult female. An adult partner is required. This event will also introduce girls to our 100th anniversary celebrations.

White Water Rafting

Are you ready for an adventure? The rapids on the South Fork of the American River will get your heart pumping as professional guides help you navigate the waters. No experience is necessary; however, you must be in good physical condition, be able to tread water for five minutes and swim 100 yards without a life jacket. Fee includes a professional guide, rental equipment, and lunch. This is a girl only event. Please note: Girls must register individually for this event; troop registrations will not be accepted.

Swim, Surf & Sun

Kayak, canoe and windsurf all morning long. These activities and more await you at the CSUS Aquatic Center. A team of instructors will assist you in building skills and having fun. To start off this morning of water exploration, girls will participate in a swim test and must be able to tread water for two minutes. Fee includes instruction, snack and participation patch. Adults do not participate in water activities. Girls and adults should bring their own sack lunch.
