A Day at Boomers

Celebrate the end of the school year with a Girl Scout fun day. Come play the day away at Boomers in Modesto. Enjoy unlimited use of the bumper boats, go carts, miniature golf and rookie raceway. Agriculture Adventure Day

Girl Scouts and the California Women for Agriculture invite you and your family to attend this special agricultural fair.  Participate in hands-on booths, work on Try-Its, badges and Interest Project patches and get a taste of the It’s Your Planet-Love it! journey.  Meet women from local farms, ranches, restaurants, and universities, learn about a variety of farm animals, and make your own ice cream in a bag.  Fee includes admittance to the event, program supplies and participation patch.  Please note there is a $10 per car parking fee.

Bette Belle Smith Day of Service

Whether you mow a neighbor’s lawn, clean-up your neighborhood, join another group in a service activity, or join us to learn about planting a tree, Saturday, May 7, 2011 is the Bette Belle Smith Day of Service in Stanislaus County.  Help live out our “Forever Green” code for the celebration of the 100th year of Girl Scouts.  Together our community service efforts can improve the environment and make a difference.  Fee includes fun patch.

Brownie Quest Journey Icon

Pack a bag and join the Brownie Quest.  Travel the “Trail of the Elf” and begin to solve the mystery of the “three keys.”  Play games, sing songs, and create crafts during this overnight adventure.  Girls will receive a Brownie Quest book and complete the first two awards on the Brownie Quest Journey.  Each troop will receive a leader packet so they can complete the Brownie Quest.  Two adults are required to attend with each troop; 1 additional adult may attend for groups that have 13 or more girls.   Fee includes meals, lodging, program materials, one Journey book per girl, one adult Journey guide per troop, and the Brownie Quest awards for each girl.

Fairytale Town Overnight

A night of fairytale fun awaits you.  This event includes a scavenger hunt, crafts and a special theater performance. Make sure you're ready with a sleeping bag and pillow for an overnight stay in this land of imagination.  Groups are limited to the ratios found on p.56 of Volunteer Essentials (updated Safety-Wise) of 1 adult for each individual girl, OR for Girl Scout Daisies: 2 adults for groups of 2-6 girls, 3 adults for groups of 7-10 girls, 4 adults for groups of 11-14 girls, 5 adults for groups of 15-18 girls OR for Girl Scout Brownies: 2 adults for groups of 2-12 girls, 3 adults for groups of 13-18 girls and 4 adults for groups of 19-24 girls.  Fee includes overnight program, morning snack, participation patch and entry into Fairytale Town Saturday.

Fleming Follies

Enjoy earning the Plants Try-It at this special weekender. Stay in the Fleming Lodge, eat meals family style, sing camp songs and make friends with other Girl Scout Brownies; all while working on this fun Try-It. We will learn the many uses of plants in our everyday life. Each troop must have a Level 1 First Aider. Two adults are required to attend with each troop; one additional adult may attend for groups that have 13 or more girls.  Fee includes meals, lodging, program materials and Try-it.
