Alcatraz on the Run

Once home to some of America’s most notorious criminals, the federal penitentiary that operated here from 1934 to 1963 brought a dark mystique to “The Rock.” Many people, though, are unaware of the wealth of other stories to be learned on the island. Here’s your opportunity to experience it all.
Please limit adults to Volunteer Essentials ratios for the grade level. Each troop must be accompanied by an adult who is First Aid/CPR certified. There will be a service project component attached to this program. Coastal Getaway

Jaunt to the coast for two full days of fun and sun. Spend your evenings at the KOA in Watsonville sleeping under the stars and your day exploring local attractions. Enjoy the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk amusement park and Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Underground Tour in Old Sacramento

Explore excavated foundations and enclosed pathways on this one-hour guided tour. Your personal tour guide will lead the way, revealing the history and legends of Sacramento’s Underground. Continue your exploration while completing a fun scavenger hunt in the Sacramento History Museum. Girl Scouts will be given extended access to the Museum.

Join us at the Yoga Seed Collective for a special introduction to yoga class. Learn about the practice and benefits of yoga from an experienced children’s yoga instructor. We will focus on the basics of proper breathing and stretching, and try a variety of beginner-friendly yoga poses.

The animal families living at the Sacramento Zoo invite you to visit! Meet the animal ambassadors at special presentations and complete activities throughout the zoo using activity passports. After the event, you’re welcome to stay in the zoo for the afternoon to explore more.
Please limit adults to Volunteer Essentials ratios for the grade level. Fee includes Girl Scout program, Sacramento Zoo entry, a fun patch and basic program costs*.
