Events! Calendar is Green!
Yes, our Events calendar is only online this year! We are extending our efforts to go “Green” by not putting our events in print, but allowing you to download and print out the exact pieces you need. You’ll also find even more event details online. We hope you are excited by the council wide opportunities offered for all Girl Scouts in the coming year. Please note that we will start the yearlong celebration of our 100th anniversary early 2011. Click here for more information on our 100th anniversary events so you can save the dates.
You’ve told us you’d like to know about the whole year of Events for planning purposes, so you’ll find a table listing events through the summer of 2011 on the home page for each grade level. You can sign up now for events through July, 2011. Check back in January for information on resident camp and February for information on other summer fun, including day camps. Please continue to check the Web site on a monthly basis for the latest updates and any Special Events that may have been added. There are some wonderful opportunities that we only get notified about a month or so in advance and these are posted in the Special Events section. Click here for Special Events.
How do you find the details of the events you are interested in? Just look at the list of events for each grade level and for a detailed description and cost look up the alphabetical event listing.

At times in the description of these events you will see that we ask that the number of adults be limited to the Safety Activity Checkpoints and/or Volunteer Essentials (Safety Wise) ratios. Read more...
Program events and trainings are made affordable through proceeds from the Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Product Programs. Funding is also partially financed by a combination of individual gifts, Family Partnership contributions, grants, corporate donations, in-kind gifts and United Way contributions. We especially rely on the generosity of individuals to continue to provide events at a reasonable cost. Some funds are also set aside to provide financial aid to girls of families in need so that they can participate in these event offerings. The Request For Financial Assistance form can be found on our council Web site and should be submitted directly to the council for an event at least two weeks prior to the billing date.
Some of you may be new to Girl Scouting, or may not have registered for a council run event before.
