Marketing & Communications Internship

Do you love magazines? Do you want to be on TV? Are you looking for something fun and different to do this summer? Do you want to have an impact on Girl Scouts in your council?

The Marketing & Communications Internship is perfect for you!

The Marketing & Communications department (MarComm) is now accepting Girl Scouts (going into 10th grade & up) to be MarComm interns at the program center in Sacramento over the summer to learn the ins and outs of our side of Girl Scouting.

There will be three sessions to choose from. You may choose to participate in one or all of the sessions. The task for each session will be to work on and complete an entire issue of the Girl Scout Hear&Now teen magazine.

Session 1: June 14 - July 9, 2010

Session 2: July 12 - August 6, 2010

Session 3: july 26 - August 20, 2010

 

Did you see the last issues of Hear & Now teen magazine?

As a MarComm intern you will help create and design each Hear & Now issue for the 2010/11 Girl Scout year! Whether you're into photography, writing, design, interviewing or fashion there is a place for you.

Did you see Girl Scouts on TV during Girl Scout Cookie time?

All MarComm interns will receive media training so you can represent the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California with Courage, Confidence and Character. You may have an opportunity to be on television, interviewed for printed articles or be a representative at public events and functions.

As you begin to look for jobs in your future, having work experience is definitely a plus. Your work this summer will give you volunteer hours and could even get you a letter of recommendation for scholarships and other parts of your future!
