Girl Scout Bridge to Adult Award (for girls in 12th grade)

See page 34-35 in the Ambassador Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting for specifics on this award.

As a graduating Girl Scout Ambassador, girls enter the Girl Scout community as an adult. The Girl Scout Bridge to adult award is the last award girls can earn as a girl member and prepares girls to join the nearly one million Girl Scouts across the country and around the world who volunteer their time and inspire girls to become leaders.  Girls who have completed their junior year of high school are eligible to complete the two bridging steps to earn their Bridge to Girl Scout adult award.

Recognition

Girl Scouts receiving this pin can be recognized two ways:

  • GSHCC council recognizes girls who have turned in the required paperwork to the Program Department at the Program Center in Sacramento by March 20 at that year’s Girls who Inspire Ceremony.

In order to Bridge to Adult, girls are asked to share their talents and skills with younger Girl Scouts and look ahead to what their involvement with the Girl Scout organization looks like as they become adult members. To be recognized by the council, girls must submit both a Bridge to Girl Scout adult award report.
