Girl Scout Anti-Flu Crew

In partnership with the California Medical Association (CMA) Foundation, the Community Health Program Patch (CHPP) was designed to teach girls to take pride in themselves and the importance of keeping their bodies healthy. By staying healthy, the girls can help protect their community by reducing the spread of illnesses.
The CHPP curriculum will accomplish three objectives:
DISCOVER
the characteristics of germs, the relationship between germs and sickness and the ways in which germs can spread.
CONNECT
Prevent influenza and the spread of germs through proper handwashing and practicing good respiratory hygiene.
TAKE ACTION
and educate other Girl Scouts, peers, family members and seniors on influenza and respiratory illness prevention, recognition and management.
