Board of Directors
The Board consists of 17-21 volunteers who serve 3 year terms (officers are 2 year terms) and are elected at the annual meeting by the Representative Assembly. The Board of Directors develops, manages, and maintains Girl Scouting within the terms of the Girl Scout charter.
Responsibilities
Major board responsibilities include:
- Policy making
- Selection and evaluation of the chief executive officer
- Long range planning
- Fund development
- Financial oversight
- Community interaction
- Fulfilling charter obligations
- Ensuring a system for policy influencing between the membership and the board.
