Representing our council's rich diversity, our board of directors offers expertise including community relations, law, accounting, medicine, banking, and sales.


Robin Kren
Chair

Term began: 2012

Robin works at Sacramento Country Day School. She is currently on the Board for the YMCA of Superior California and United Corporate Furnishings. She also served on the California Association of Independent Schools Professional Services Committee. Robin was a girl member of Girls Scouts for eleven years.

   


Debra Lee Brown
Vice Chair
Term began: 2012

Debra retired from Kaiser Permanente in the Central Valley in 2013. She is active in community service starting as a Loaned Executive with the United Way of Alaska and is currently a Fellow with American Leadership Forum, Great Valley Chapter, in their founding class. She is part of the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance. Debra was a Girl Scout in Daly City and lists as one of her interests the coaching and development of future leaders.

 


Susan J. Sheridan
Vice Chair

Term began: 2010

Susan works at the Sheridan Law Corporation and is active in the Sacramento Community with the Rotary Club of Sacramento and serves as a Trustee for the club Foundation. She is presently on Board of Senior Gleaners, Inc. and has served on other non-profit boards in Sacramento. She is also involved professionally with the Sacramento County Bar Associate, the Women Lawyers of Sacramento and is a founding member of a women’s Business Development Roundtable.

   


Anne Ferguson
Secretary

Term began: 2012

Anne is Anne E. Ferguson Attorney at Law. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento. She is the Past President of Breathe California of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails (formerly known as Lung Assoc. of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails). She has been a volunteer for Business Volunteers for the Arts (providing non-profit board governance and exempt organization assistance).

 


Barbara Ellis
Treasurer

Term began: 2012

Barbara works as Senior Accounting Analyst for Sutter Health. She sings in the Light of the Hills Lutheran Church choir and is a Sunday School Teacher.

   


Riley Carroll

Term began: 2012

A Junior at Granite Bay High School, Riley is the Founder and President of “Make a Friend, Be a Friend” Club. She is also active in student government. Riley has been a Girl Scout for eleven years and is a member of the Girls Scout Heart of Central California Marketing and Communications Internship Program.

   


Catherine Conner
Term began: 2012

Cathie is the CEO and President of the Cardoza Foundation in Modesto. She is a board member of the Stanislaus Community Foundation and the Gallo Center for the Arts, where she also serves as the Audit Chair. She serves on the Finance Committee of the Sutter Health Central Valley Regional Board and is the Treasurer for the St. Vincent De Paul Ministry of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church

   


Patty Estopinal
Term began: 2011

Patty is the Director of Private Wealth Management at Robert W. Baird and Co. She is a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and is the former Finance Committee Chair and Board Member of Sol Aureus College Preparatory Charter School (SAC Prep). She is the Coach of the a Special Olympics tennis team. Patty was a Girl Scout in New Jersey for six years and a Girl Scout leader for nine years, successfully leading an older girl troop.

   


Robert Ferriman
Term began: 2010

Rob is the Vice President of Private Wealth Management at Robert W. Baird and Co. Robert has been a GSHCC board member since 2010 and a finance committee member since 2007.

   


Beverly E. Lamb

Term began: 2010

Bev retired from the Sacramento County Children’s Coalition in 2006. She a past Board member of the American Leadership Forum.
 

 


Beth Leonard Schatz

Term began: 2012

Beth works for Bank of America. She is on the Mercy Foundation Board of Trustees and a member of the Point West Rotary Club. Beth currently serves on the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California Finance Committee.

   


Deidre Mraz
Term began: 2012

Deirdre works at Mraz, Amerine & Associates. She a Founding Board Member – Boys and Girls Club of Stanislaus County and on the Board of Trustees – Gallo Center for the Arts. She is currently the Chapter President of the Santa Clara University Alumni Association (Stockton-Modesto area).

   


Princetta Purkins

Term began: 2011

Princetta is the Principal of Parklane School in Lodi. She works with the PTA and with the Shiloh Baptist Church Women’s Mission.

   


Toni Rubin
Term began: 2009

Toni retired from the California Department of Public Health. She is a Trainer for Girl Scouts Heart of Central California and a National Council Delegate.

   


Alana Dionne
Mathews-Davis, ESQ.,

Term began: 2013

Alana works in the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. She is member of the Wiley Manuel African-American Bar Association and the Sacramento County Bar Association. She works with the Celebration Arts Community Theater and on the Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force for the City of Sacramento.

   


Skylar Martin

Term began: 2013

Skylar is a freshman at Woodcreek High School in Roseville. She is a past representative for the Sierra Creek Service Unit and was a Delegate at the Girls World Forum in 2012. Skylar is currently working on her Girl Scout Gold Award.

   


Melissa Williams
Term began: 2013

Melissa works as Public Affairs Specialist at the Modesto Irrigation District. She active in the Modesto Rotary and the Central Valley Public Relations Organization.

   


Patti Monczewski
Term began: 2013

Patti is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Mercy General Hospital. She served as interim hospital President at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Andreas. She is active in the Rotary Club of Sacramento and serves on the Board of Directors. Patti was a Girl Scout.
